Hello everyone and welcome to Roots of Curiosity!

With over a decade of experience in early childhood education, Sadie brings both passion and depth to her work with young learners. She has spent 13 years in the classroom, cultivating meaningful, curiosity-driven learning experiences for children. Sadie earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her master’s degree from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Her commitment to innovative, child-centered education led her to study the Reggio Emilia philosophy firsthand in Reggio Emilia, where she deepened her understanding of honoring children as capable, creative thinkers.

Alena brings a dynamic blend of educational experience and entrepreneurial leadership to the team. With 6 years of hands-on experience in child care, including successfully running her own registered family home, she understands the importance of nurturing safe, engaging environments for children. In addition, Alena has spent over 20 years as a small business owner and 5 years as a Business Coach, equipping her with the skills to support both families and staff with intention and care. She now serves as the director of our after-school program, Beyond the Bell, where she combines her love for children with her expertise in leadership and program development.
